Feature Friday with Rhodes Creations

 1. What is the name of your Etsy shop and why did you choose that name?

 Rhodes Creations. Rhodes is my last name and I make creations. It's actually God who gives me the talent and where with all to do anything I do and I give Him the glory!

2. How long have you been on Etsy?

Since Feb 2010

 

 3. What type of items do you offer?

I currently specialize in handmade home decor and gift items in themes of rustic, prim, country, shabby chic and vintage. Depending on the season and what seems to sell is what I focus on at the time. I do floral arrangements/wreaths, bakery style candles, soap, scented goods, machine embroidered linens and pictures, and love to re-purpose items to find unique and creative uses for them. I also do baked goodies, soup, cake, dessert mixes and more in the Fall and near Christmas.

 4. How long have you been crafting??

Every since my mom inspired me at a young age I have been into art or crafts. I always loved to draw. When I was younger I was making Barbi clothing. Then I moved on to handmade jewelry and floral arrangements. Then sewing more with incorporating machine embroidery and then moved to prim/country and some shabby chic at times.

5. Who or What inspires you?

My mom who is an artist and talented person herself and can knit, sew, crochet and do handy woman stuff first inspired me. Our wonderful Creator God always inspires me with his beautiful creation and inspiring colors. And of course, with the advent of the internet, my internet friends and those with creative talents who are so generous to share and I learn much from them.

6. What is your favorite item in your shop and why?

I don't think I really have a favorite, per say. I tend to lean towards my items in the "lighting" department. It reminds me that I am a light and am to shine in this world for Jesus!
