Herb Spoon Tutorial

Kris from Maple Street Shop has graciously shared a wonderful Herbal Spoon Tutorial with us.
I took some wooden spoons floated them in coffee dye and sat them outside for a few days to make them look old.
I made simple fabric pouches and added herbs for a simmering potpourri spell for protecting your home.
You stir the herbs together with your hands, add them to 2 cups of water in a pan or potpourri pot, and stir clockwise in repetitions of 3, 5, 7 and 9 while envisioning your home as a safe and protected place.
I placed lavender in the fabric pouch and hung it on my wall for decoration after I was done.
I thought this was so neat! I spend half of my life in my kitchen. Why not bring in a little herbal kitchen witch magic.
These delightful spoons can be found in her Etsy Shop with these fun blends.
A blend of herbs specifically chosen for their delightful scent, symbolism, or magical usage, bound to the wooden spoon (or wand) in appealing floral fabric. They can be hung in the kitchen or the herbs can be used as a simmering potpourri.

Herbal potpourri to simmer simply to make the house smell delightful.

Citrus simmering potpourri ~ clean and invigorating.
Mothers simmering potpourri ~ to eliminate odors before guests arrive.
Christmas simmering potpourri ~ Make the house smell like Christmas all year round.
Country Spice simmering potpourri ~ makes the home smell like you’ve been baking all day.
Wood stove potpourri ~ Put in a pan on your wood stove.

Magical simmering herbs.

Love Simmering Potpourri ~ to introduce love into your life or strengthen a relationship or to bring your family closer together.
Money Potpourri ~ set energies into motion to ease financial burdens.
Protective Simmering Potpourri ~ Drench your home with protective energy.
Purification Simmering Potpourri ~ Use while spring cleaning to clear away useless energy lingering in your home.

Thank you Kris for the wonderful idea!  We do spend allot of time in the kitchen!
